Just wanted to wish everyone Merry Christmas! I am done for the year except still plugging away on a few shoe commissions. These last two ornaments just make me smile big time. I am so lucky to work at something that makes me smile and just plain happy most of the time. Thank you all for your support, your purchases and your friendship. I look forward to the new year and all it will bring. Wishing you all joy, Tammy

Roly Poly
I have sadly moved on from Halloween to Christmas. I love Christmas too, especially Santas and I have some new ideas I am excited to try once I get a few commissions done. This rolypoly is already accounted for but I really loved making him. I wanted to add some of the cute vintage pinecone elves I put on a santa last year but needed mini versions. So I decided to make some! I tried making spun cotton hats for them and it is the first time I have attempted it. I am really pleased with how they turned out and hope to do more experimenting with spun cotton. They were hard though! Love the mink trim on Santa too. Yes, those are tiny mushrooms in one of the elves hands and no, they are not hallucinogenic. My husbands first question, sheesh! The Santa below was another one I made and is also sold. I wanted to use a snowman and I enjoy making tiny toys and finding them too. It is getting harder all the time though. I have several Santas that I have been saving little treasures to put on them for some time.I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know I am thankful to all of you who regularly visit my blog, have purchased my art, and just been my friend. Big hug to all, Tammy

Witchy!
I am having fun making witches and witch shoes! I love the shoes. This a little wooden pair that can be hung on a Halloween tree. Aren't they cute? I have been wanting to make a witch ornament in shades of black, white, and gray and I think she turned out so elegant. I think she looks zee French! A different type of hat for me and I even made a few flowers for her hat. I am in a witch making mood and have plans for more in the next few weeks. Thanks for stopping by and sharing my work with me. Hope you are having fun munching Halloween candy, I know I am!

Witch shoes
I am so excited about these. They are just really unique and I am in love with them. They are sold but before I ship them, I keep putting them in different places around the house. They are huge! (over 13") and hold a ton of candy. They look so cool by the front door and then in the middle of the dining room table too. I took 2 wooden Dutch shoes and sculpted some curly toes on the ends and extended the bridge of the shoes. Then I went to town painting designs inspired by Beistle and Dennison vintage paper cut outs. I wait all year for Halloween then it comes way to fast! Thanks for stopping by and Happy haunting.

The Devil made me do it!
I have never done a Devil of any kind and haven't really wanted too. A good customer did some pleading and 2 years later I finally completed her Devil Wall sconce. I comes complete with glowing eyes. I must admit, I love his face. Please don't write me asking for me to do one for you though. Unless you are prepared to wait a very long time! Enjoy the Fall.

Pumpkin buggy
I have fun making everything I do but this one will always be a favorite! It just makes me excited for Halloween. It evokes such a feeling of vintage Halloween . Something I really love. The little pumpkin and cat gourds on a stick come out and can be rearranged too. The little buggy really rolls too. Thank you for dropping by and sharing my art with me. Rolly poly Santa...again
This is a example why I have to sell everything right away. I had this Santa from last season. A very nice man had wished to purchase him then had some family problems ( understandable). So I decided to keep him till later this year. Well as he sat in my studio, I would look at him and think, "this would look better if I did this... or if I add that...". Pretty soon, he was a new man, LOL. A better one, I think, too. I wonder if other artists do that too? He is sold now so he is safe from future face lifts! thank you for stopping by.

Spooky picture frame
Hi again, I am having so much fun making new Halloween creations!!! It's not that far away you know. I just finished this wooden frame with sculpted gourd pumpkin on top and tiny sculpted and painted moons beneath. The wonderful thing about this is the frame swivels. How fun is that. Anything photo can be slipped between the two pieces of glass. A customer suggested vintage postcards, so I printed off a few to show how great they would look. This is for sale to the people on my email list right now. If you would like to be added to get a chance to buy or just look, please click on the witch to the right and send me your address. I will be happy to add you. Thanks for sharing my work with me.

The frog prince and the Witch
One of my all time favorite stories as a child was the frog prince who had to get a princess to kiss him to turn back again. Loved the golden ball and the eating from the plate and sleeping in her bed. That was my inspiration for this witch ornament. Thank you for stopping by.

STJ Moon box
The update for Spookytimejingles.com was at midnight this morning and I sold this right away but I wanted to share this with everyone. The majority of my work is sold through an email I send out to my customer base when pieces become available. If you are interested in being on that list just email me and I would be happy to add you(link at right). There is still some wonderful pieces by other artists still available too. I found this fun round box full of seven little boxes and just knew it would be fun to paint each one differently. Wish I could keep it but bills have to be paid. Sigh...Thanks for stopping by and sharing my art with me.

Blue moon and stars
Just thought I would share a picture of a special commission I received. I love doing golden moons but it's fun to do the odd blue one. Love the soft blue color palette to work with too. I think I could do moons forever and never grow tired of them.

A few new things
Just thought I would share a few new things I have recently done. One is a bowlful of kitties I sold recently on Spooky Time Jingles. Really fun and loved using old vintage Beistle decorations for faces and limiting the pallet to red, green, yellow and white. Thanks for stopping by.
